What inspired you to start Tea Time Chocolates?
The journey with Tea Time Chocolates began with a YouTube video. I came across a chocolatier making chocolate candies and was instantly inspired to try it. I was amazed by how enjoyable it was to create my own chocolates. After several years of experimenting, I took culinary classes in New York. Despite the stress of working in a fast-paced environment, candy making in a professional kitchen nourished my soul.
Over time, I began making chocolates for birthdays and special occasions for my friends and family, and the positive feedback I received was overwhelmingly encouraging. When my cousin, Svitlana Melnyk, a talented baker and chocolate creator, joined me, we decided to turn our shared passion into a business. That's how Tea Time Chocolates was born.
Can you share the story behind the name of your business?
We are from Ukraine. In our culture, tea is a part of daily life, whether we are unwinding at home or catching up with friends. Tea time is all about time to relax, to connect with others, and to enjoy great treats. We want our chocolates to embody this same experience—creating moments of joy, whether you're savoring them by yourself or sharing them with others.

Our chocolates are crafted from organic ingredients, free of artificial preservatives, colors, or additives. To elevate each creation, we incorporate dried fruits, nuts, and seeds, adding delightful textures and complex flavors.

Our ideal customer is someone who values pure, high-quality products and enjoys giving beautifully crafted gifts that bring joy and delight. Our customers appreciate the craftsmanship behind our chocolates and seek to make meaningful gestures that brighten the lives of those they care about.
What has been the most rewarding aspect of running Tea Time Chocolates?
If you ask my kids and husband, they’d probably say that their favorite part is enjoying the leftover chocolates or being taste testers! 😊 For Svitlana and me, the most rewarding aspect of running Tea Time Chocolates is seeing the smiles on our customers' faces and knowing we've added a little extra happiness to their days with our delicious and healthy treats. Bringing joy through our chocolates and creating memorable moments for people is truly fulfilling
What advice would you give to other women looking to start their own businesses?
Our advice to other women looking to start their own businesses is to believe in yourself and your vision. Surround yourself with supportive people, stay resilient in the face of challenges, and never be afraid to take risks. Passion, perseverance, and confidence are key to turning your dreams into reality

Do you have a favorite chocolate variety?
Definitely 72% dark chocolate. It is not too sweet, not too bitter, just perfect😊That is what most of our chocolates are made of.
