Apply to be a Rising Kitchen
Rising Kitchens acts as a broker for talented chefs, bakers and cooks who are looking to grow their food business. We promote you to local companies looking to sell or distribute food or individuals looking for catering. In particular, Rising Kitchens will focus on discovering and promoting entrepreneurs in our community who have traditionally faced systemic barriers of entry to starting businesses such as women, people of color and immigrants.
If selected, there is a $100 membership fee. This grants you access to many services and resources such as invoicing, sales tax collections, food entrepreneurship training and mentorship from local chefs, discounted rate to hyper-local founders group for women, and of course marketing and advertising to prospective customers. Upon making a “match” between a Rising Kitchen Food Entrepreneur and a business opportunity, Rising Kitchens collects a percentage of each sale brokered.
Applications for our 2025 cohort are due by February 7, 2025.
